Sr Accountant (Europe Offer Approvals)

Primary Responsibility :Seeking a highly motivated self-starter who has the ability to lead key accounting and financial processes both independently and as part of a team. This role is intended for a driven individual who is eager to learn and grow into a management position in the near future. We offer a dynamic and modern flex-work culture with the ability to work remotely the majority of each week.What You’ll Do :• Lead various accounting processes from end-to-end• Serve as the primary liaison between corporate headquarters and geographically-distributed field accountants for a portfolio of sites• Collaborate with cross-functional groups, including development of budgets and forecasts• Manipulate and format large amounts of data to perform variance analyses• Problem solve and analyze financial data related to assigned areas and accounts.• Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts• Execute key internal controls and work with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit• Prepare and review monthly journal entries• Manage special projects as needed, including technical accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities• Other duties as requestedWhat Experience and Education You Need :• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree preferred• CPA certification, plus 2-4 years of related experience• Big 4 or Tier 2 audit experience preferred• Thorough understanding of GAAP• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required• Experience with SAP is a plusWhat Could Set You Apart :• Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals• Ability to perform well under pressure and in a high-volume and changing environment• Demonstrates consistency, flexibility and commitment to meet deadlines• Demonstrates planning, task organizing and execution skills• Excellent analytical skills• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with a variety of individuals• Strong customer service skills and proven ability to work with both internal and external customers at all levels• Ability to excel in a team environmentPhysical Requirements :• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions• Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work• Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks• May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business• May require a facility visit to operations in temperatures at or below freezing• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds• Requires the use of various electronic tools• Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes• Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive managementWork Environment :The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
