Primary Responsibility :

The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country. During this experience, our interns will gain valuable knowledge related to Automation while contributing to the one of the COOLest business sectors.

The internship opportunity will afford our interns to better understand of the supply chain industry, work on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the ability to collaborate with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.

What You’ll Do :

• DESIGN: Works closely with Functional/Systems Analyst to collect, organize, document and execute high quality data cleaning/merging/analysis. Assist in designing data automation processes for large and small quantities.
• DEVELOPMENT: Develops effective and informative reports and visualizations. Translating findings into business terms and actionable guidance. Assist in developing data dashboards that are visually appealing and simple to navigate for the end users.
• TESTING: Creates test plans, test files, and scripts for unit testing through integration testing. Performs testing as required & documents results.
• Maintain and assure the accuracy and consistency of data integrity.
• Track initiatives by monitoring progress towards meeting goals and achieving benchmarks by analyzing data and ensuring the follow-through of key players.
• Use statistical concepts such as regression, time series, mixed model, Bayesian methods, clustering, etc. to analyze data and provide insights.
• Work in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other engineers, and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviors.

What Experience and Education You Need :

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science Statistics, Engineering or related field of study, preferably rising senior
• Experience/Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts, Data Structures, Data Mining, Machine Learning and AI
• Basic programming with Languages: PL/SQL, T-SQL is a benefit (any of these)
• You have a strong understanding of programming languages extensively used in Data Science applications (e.g., R, Python, Scala, Java, etc.)
• Experience in core data science activities
• Experience in PowerBI, Tableau or similar is a benefit
• Familiarity with Supply chain, warehousing concepts is a plus
• Familiarity with MHE automation, controls, SCADA is a plus
