| Primary Responsibility : Support the department by identifying, developing and executing audits of corporate and field processes and operations. What You’ll Do : • Conduct facilitated Enterprise Risk Management sessions with senior leaders quarterly identifying new risks where applicable and ensuring the risk register is up-to-date and report the results to the Disclosure Committee and the board as requested. • Serve in advisory role and participate during the implementation of new systems, processes and procedures as the need arises. • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive global risk assessments which proactively identify changes to the business to maintain a continuously maturing risk assurance framework. • Responsible for planning, executing and delivering high-quality global audits projects which recommend measures to improve Company processes and internal controls. • Implement and execute a program to follow up on internal audit recommendations and findings. • Provide advice and recommendations to senior leaders regarding best practices, process improvements, enhanced internal controls and effective risk management methods. • Maintain regular communication with process owners, provide oversight and guidance on control design, operating effectiveness, nature and degree of supporting evidence to validate execution of controls, ongoing change management and effective monitoring of their controls. • Leverage the Company’s ERP and WMS system data to implement quality assurance and audit process improvement programs through use of technology, data analytics, and best practices and continuous monitoring approaches. • Conduct fraud and ethics investigations as requested. • Work with the Company’s external auditors to complete annual audits and quarterly reviews, identify opportunities to leverage internal audit activities into external audits, and streamline the external audit process. • Assist the VP, Internal Audit in overseeing the global the administration, testing and related activities of the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and evaluate the Company’s SOX program and partner with functional groups across the Company to ensure a strong environment for internal controls over financial reporting. • Maintains independence and ethical standards in all work activities. • Evaluate processes for design deficiencies, identify areas of potential improvements, suggest controls to mitigate identified risks and implement changes. • Review new processes from a controls perspective. Work closely with process owners to design and implement new controls. • Train process owners, including non-financial individuals, to comply with SOX requirements. • Communicate required changes to process owners and assist with execution. • Communicate results through written reports to all affected/interested stakeholders. • Assist in the development of audit staff. • Assist in the development of the annual global internal audit plan. • Serve in an instrumental capacity in the continuous process improvement of the Internal Audit function. • Participate and lead other Internal Audit projects as required. What Experience and Education You Need : • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related field. • Must be currently working for a Public Accounting firm or publicly traded company with responsibilities for the annual ICFR audit. • Minimum of 10 years previous internal or external corporate auditing and SOX experience. • Extensive experience in the design, implementation and testing of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance and financial audits. • Professional certification such as CPA or CIA required. • Previous experience in the warehousing, transportation and logics including supply chain processes, 3rd party logistics, or experience auditing controls in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations is a plus. What Could Set You Apart : • Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a preference. • Strong understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the COSO framework and SEC guidance for management's assessment of internal controls over financial reporting. • Strong understanding of current accounting (GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principle. • Project management or a structured problem-solving methodology experience preferred. • Proven supervisory/management experience. • Functional understanding of accounting and finance processes. • Working knowledge or experience with an SAP ERP environment a plus. • Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and accounting software systems. • Ability to analyze complex processes and identify potential improvement opportunities. • Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Must be self-motivated with high degree of initiative. • Ability to work in a team environment and focus on a partnership approach. • Ability to interface with all levels in the organization. • Must be able to travel up to 15% of time. Physical Requirements : • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions. • Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending. • Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work. • Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks. • May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business. • May require a visit to facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing • May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds. • Requires the use of various electronic tools. • Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes. • Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management.
