What you’ll Do

As the Business Development Manager – NZ, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, market expansion, and client engagement. This is a high-impact role that contributes directly to Americold’s success, culture, and values.

  • Strategic Sales Leadership
    Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives to attract new customers and grow existing relationships.
  • Sales Targeting & Performance
    Set measurable sales goals, monitor performance, and apply data-driven insights to optimize outcomes.
  • Client Enablement
    Enhance client satisfaction through tailored support, training, and long-term relationship building.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to deliver cohesive and effective sales campaigns.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting
    Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and prepare detailed reports to inform strategic decisions.

What Experience and Education You Need

  • 5–7 years’ experience in business development within 3PL, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven success working with processors, wholesalers, brokers, and retailers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field; MBA highly desirable.
  • Experience in international freight forwarding, import/export, and launching global sales initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
