What You'll Do
You will be responsible for designing supply chain solution proposals to support revenue growth and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that add value to customers' supply chains while meeting financial guidelines. You will conduct comprehensive analyses, address strategic and operational challenges, and support business development activities including client proposals and presentations. This role requires travel approximately 12-15% on average, with peaks up to 20-25%.
Essential Functions
- Conduct comprehensive supply chain analyses of customer businesses and company operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Apply quantitative modeling and analysis to assess profitability, optimize transportation, design strategic networks, and enhance inventory management and distribution operations.
- Support business development activities by participating in sessions with customers to establish baselines, understand constraints and goals, and develop solution options.
- Develop business cases using financial modeling techniques to support client proposals and internal initiatives.
- Adhere to the Proposal Development Process including participation in meetings, pricing reviews, preparation of investment memos, and presentations to executive management.
- Review and audit operational profiles, processes, productivities, resource models, and cost build-up for supply chain solutions and deliver solution designs through formal responses and presentations.
- Lead and manage a team of 1-2 direct reports with accountability for developing and maintaining effective teams.
- Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
What Experience and Education You Need
- Minimum 12 years of experience required in industrial engineering, solutions engineering, or logistics solution design within a 3PL environment or supply chain consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in distribution center and warehouse design required.
- Experience in warehouse operations required.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate teams while maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements
- Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.
- Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.
- Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing.
- May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
- May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
- May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
